Rick's mom and grandparents made the trip to hang out with us for a little over a week. We started our trip off with a nice hike up dIaMonD hEaD. Kastle did so well, he walked {skipped/ran} the whole way. Hayes did good too... he slept through most of it ;)

It is tradition to hit the Dole Plantation for some pineapple ice cream.

We love to visit the zoo where ever we go. This is a great zoo. It has a very park/botanical feel to it. I guess its hard not to in a setting like this. Kastle loved the monkeys.

Lanikai Beach is gorgeous. Straight shot of white sandy beach as far as you can see. Just a light break in the water so you can wade right out in it. Great place for snorkeling and seeing turtles. Also the place where Rick got stung all over his body by a Man Of War Jellyfish. What we knew about them at the time was that they are super scary and can be fatal. What we found out {from the ambulance/paramedic} they can be, but are not necessarily that scary. Its all your own body's tolerance. Like an allergy. Luckily Rick apparently has a high tolerance to the stings.
