We had ChRisTmas this year up in New Harmony with Rick's parents. Even though it was fun to have them all to ourselves, we missed the rest of the family too much. I am working the grave shift right now so I had a little bit of a commute for the Holiday Weekend back and forth from St George and New Harmony. But it is always worth it to have a fun cOuNtRy chRiStmAs.

My sweet Aunt Jane went back to her Heavenly Father this week. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will be missed dearly. If I had to chose one word to describe my beautiful aunt it would be "classy". I dont know anyone that would disagree.

Jane Waldron Baer, beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend, finished her mortal journey on November 27, 2011. The youngest daughter of Russell and Lucille Waldron, Jane was born April 14, 1943 in Tremonton, Utah. She attended Bear River High School, where she served as student body Secretary. After high school, she attended and graduated from Utah State University with a degree in English, where she was again involved in student government as student body Secretary. She was a member and President of Kappa Delta sorority. Jane later transferred to the University of Utah, where she did graduate work. Jane then taught High School English and German at Olympus High School in Salt Lake City, Utah.No biography of Jane Waldron Baer would be complete without mention of her two great loves: her family and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Her concern for and service to both defined Jane and provided her greatest joy. Her life was spent in constant service of others. In service, she is an example we can emulate but likely never equal.Jane's high school sweetheart was Mark Alma Baer, also a native of Tremonton. She supported Mark while he served a two-year mission in West Germany. They were married on March 24th, 1965 in the LDS Logan Temple. After Mark graduated from the University of Utah, they moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where Mark attended Case Western Reserve Dental School and Jane served as Relief Society President of their Cleveland Ward. The growing family moved to California where they were stationed at Travis Air Force Base, and then Colorado Springs, Colorado, while Mark served as a dentist in the Air Force. After completing their Air Force service, they moved their still growing family to Alamosa, Colorado and set up a dental practice. Five years later they again moved to Littleton, Colorado, where they began a new practice, settled and raised their family. Jane's primary efforts through this time were raising her six children and serving in her Church and community. She spent countless hours happily engaged in the tasks of homemaking: cooking, cleaning, homework, nurturing and shopping. She could usually be found in her kitchen, helping her children with homework, entertaining house guests, or typing countless letters to missionaries, friends, or lonely students away from home. She was active in the P.T.O. and could always be found serving her neighbors and the members of her Ward family. She held a variety of callings in her church which allowed her to serve and love an ever-widening circle of friends. Jane taught early morning seminary for several years where she loved, taught and influenced many youth in her stake. In 2003 Jane and Mark began a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kiev, Ukraine. Here they were specifically assigned to oversee the Church Education System working specifically with young adults. Jane was again successful in making everyone around her feel loved and important. She had a profound impact on the Ukrainian people with whom she served. After returning home, Mark and Jane were called to serve as Second Counselor and Assistant to the Matron, respectively, of the LDS Denver Temple. Three years later, they were called to serve as President and Matron of the Denver Temple. Jane loved her service in the temple and loved those with whom she served. Jane was beloved by all who knew her. She was gracious and kind to everyone. Those who have only met Jane once, likely remember feeling loved and appreciated. She served well and loved well. Her devotion to her God and her family is a great legacy to all who knew her and loved her. Though Jane will be missed, her charity and compassion will be remembered by all. Jane is survived by Mark, her husband of 46 years; her three sons, Daniel Baer of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Robert Baer of Ft. Collins, Colorado, and David Baer of Parker, Colorado; her three daughters, Laura Boggess of Las Vegas, Nevada, Barbara Nelson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Julie LaClare of Castle Rock, Colorado; her thirty (and counting) grandchildren, Cannon, Anne, Sam, Jane, Jacob, Brooke, Mark, Meagan, Andrew, Matthew, Joseph, Daniel, Sydney, Max, Calvin, Travis, Bridgett, Marcus, Baerett, Ashley, Sophie, Savannah, Olivia, William, Russell, Madison, Eliana, Micah, Keane, and Delaney; and her sister Barbara Howard, and brothers Kirk Waldron and Kelly Waldron. A viewing will be held at the Horan and McConaty Funeral Home located at 5303 East County Line Road on Friday, December 2nd from 6-8pm.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. in the LDS Chapel located at 1939 Easter Avenue, Littleton, Colorado. A brief viewing will precede the funeral services beginning at 9:30 and concluding at 10:30 a.m.

Rick and I took Kastle up to KaYsviLLe for his very 1st ThaNksGiviNg. We had a good crowd even though we were missing about half of my brothers and sisters. We were so glad that my Grandma and Grandpa Manning could be there with us and that I got to get a picture with them holding Kastle. It was a very HapPy tHanKsGiviNg.

We had kaStLe bLesSeD this last fast sunday. We had it up in New Harmony. Rick's mom was so good to put up my family that came down for it. We had such a fun visit with all of them. My dad gave the blessing and Kastle was so good, he didn't make a peep. Rick's grandpa Benson (who Kastle is named after) said that he took a peek during the blessing and Kastle was staring right at him smiling. What a little sweet boy.

I was up in kAysViLLe for a nice long visit with my family while Rick went hunting. While I was there I got to see the gals. We had a sweet LaDieS niGhT! (oh, at Mcdonalds... with all the kids) And that is how the mommies roll, gotta love it. It was so fun to catch up and we even had a special surprise to see Emily. She was in town from South Dakota and stopped over. I had a great time.

We went up to FisHLaKe with Rick's family for the eLk hUnt. We rented little cabins on the lake. It was gorgeous, the leaves were all changing for fall (my favorite time of year). It was fun to spend some time with the family and Rick was excited that he filled his tag.

The delivery room is obviously not somewhere that I will ever be voted most photogenic. But what an awesome and sureal experience. I asked Rick to build a crib for the baby and he was not totally on board with the idea. Any ladies out there that have a husband that is in an industry that we never get to see the fruits of??? Im like the plumbers wife with the clogged drain. Rick has never built me anything so I thought that a crib would be perfect. He asked his dad to help with the project and that got them both really excited about it. They did such an amazing job!

We finally got to meet our little guy on SeptEmBeR 9, 2011 at 10:50 pm ....(after about 20 hours of labor) 8 lbs 5 oz 20 1/2 in. It was a tough journey, but mom and baby are both finally home and settling in. KaStLe was taken to the NICU after being born. His amniotic fluid was filled with meconium and the NICU team was in the room to make sure that he didn't get any into his lungs. Also, near the end of the delivery I got a fever so they assumed that kAstLe would have one as well (and he did) so he didn't get to room with mom and dad. I was released after the 48 hours but baby had to stay another night and wait for all the final test results. It is a very emotional experience to have to see your baby all hooked up to monitors that have alarms going off on them every 7-10 seconds. We are so happy to be home with the new addition to our family.

Here is the most current picture of {the Bump} at 35 WeeKs. Im getting/im already huge! Rick tells me everyday that my due date was 2 weeks ago. I have been feeling really good, but it seems like week 36 came around and all of a sudden its all down hill from here. 108 degree heat in St George is definetly not helping. But we are crossing our fingers that he stays put until at least September 1st.

K gals, there it is.... Gina - pre baby and Gina - mid baby. Oh I really hope I fit back into all my clothes. A girl that I work with has me so scared. I told her that I put on a pair of my heels to wear for my maternity pics and they were so so too small. She was very reasuring when she said... "Yeah, I went from a 6 to an 8" I thought for sure no matter what I would always have my shoes. This may not be the case anymore.

Perfect weather, perfect water! Great 4th of July at Powell! We didn't quite have our full usual group, but Nick and Jen came out from San Diego and my brother Kirk and his wife Ashley came down from Salt Lake so it was a blast. We even had some crashers, a couple from Texas that just moved to St George heard we were going and they tagged along and they were awesome. Of course Rick started out the trip with a shoulder injury. He just cant handle a 4th of July without using our insurance (that starts over on July 1st every year).

Wow! One year away from the big 30. Its so weird that I dont feel any older than I did at 23 (I certainly look older). Im sure its because I haven't really advanced in life as far as kids and big milestones yet when compared to the normal 29 year old in Utah. Dont get me wrong I would not change anything. We have gotten to do so many fun things and Im glad that we are moving into the next big adventure with baby #1 almost here, but its weird to think that when I was 20 I thought 30 would feel so different, but it really doesn't. Once your past high school or even college, life just kind of blends into itself. It all just becomes a blur. Blur or not, at least I know I've had 29 years worth of good times!

Our friend Dave Bee got a chance to fight so we all went to show our support. (Sorry, the pics are terrible it was not dark enough for a flash but too dark without. I hate that.) We were suppose to be up in Moab for the bEar HuNt over Memorial Weekend, but because of some high school graduation schedules we decided it wasn't going to be worth the trip for those of us not shooting anything. So we decided to go to San DiEgo instead. It was an awesome idea! We drove down with Rick's mom and his G & G Benson. We decided that we are a pretty fun group. Checked out Coronado Island, some tide pools (cant go anywhere without finding some sort of creature), the swap meet, had the 1st showing of "the bump" at the pool and even had a fire on the bay to watch Sea World's fireworks. Such a fun trip!

I love how the simplest things make Rick happy like catching flies in the garage in cups, or finding marbles hidden in the rug. He is always someone that has my back no matter what, with Christmas almost every year to just being a good friend to talk to as well as letting me live with him at his grandma's house. You can always count on him to do a drop of the hat trip somewhere and they will always be fun. I also cant think of anyone else who would go in half to bye a mini donkey. -Cody McCann

We decided to go for a little hike today. There is a hill near our house that is about a mile (practically straight up). Luckily there was a little bit of a trail stomped down already that let us go zig zag so that I didn't have a heart attack. I had no idea what a difference an extra 20 lbs makes! Yep, in case ya missed that.... im up 20 lbs. It was a really nice day and the hike was perfect. Stella found a gutter with some water in it by the truck and laid right down. She was beat.

Its getting there. I can't believe we're half way. That was the longest 5 months of my life. I feel really good, other that the fact that there are no pants that fit. It wouldn't matter because I wear dresses alot, but I have to wear jeans to work and it is no fun. Other than that I am lucky enough to already have swollen ankles, not feet.... just ankles. Dont worry.... its much bigger already. Rick already has funny things to say about it. The first comment as I was getting out of the shower was "you look like a telletubby" a few weeks later it was "the belly of the grinch" my personal favorite just came while I was changing and I looked over to just see a stunned face. No comment was necessary, the eyes said it all. ;) He has no idea whats in store, does he?

Can you believe it? Its a BOY! We are so excited. Rick was saying "Im good with whatever" But when he saw the picture his grin was from ear to ear. Healthy baby and they even moved up our due date 1 week. New due date Sept 6th. Cant wait to meet our little guy!

Rick and I decided to take a quick trip down to San Diego last weekend. It was such beautiful weather it gave me Spring Fever so bad! We have our season passes to Sea World but we got in a trip to the zoo this time, as well. It was so nice to get away.

Rick and I were up at the JazZ game this week. I got these tickets because who didnt want to be there when Boozer, Brewer and Korver came out onto the court. It was a good game. Sad that we lost, (Jazz couldn't make a foul shot to save their lives) but it was neck and neck the entire game. Good game to go to for another reason... randomly, out of no where that night Jerry Sloan retired. We went with Rick's brother Jer and his wife Mer and their cute little baby Knox. He is getting to be at such a cute age. He was rockin' out and cheering the whole time.

It was that time of year again, WinTeR X gAmeS. Rick and I have gone almost every year since we started dating. This year we had a super fun group of friends that came along with us. The actual games are in Aspen, CO but we like to stay in a place called Glenwood Springs (which is about 30 miles outside of Aspen) because there are so many fun things to do there. There is a natural hot spring that has been turned into a huge swimming pool/hot tub, one of the 10 largest cave systems in the world, a gondola up the mtn and a slide that shoots you back down the mtn. It is really a good time.

I had to work Christmas day so Rick,Cody and I had to wake up early without everyone else so I could get home in time to work. Yuck, huh? Thats life I guess. No breaks for 911. We had such a fun time at our cOmPany cHriStmAs pArtY this year. We combined United Wood and Titan Stairs because we're all basically a big family anyway and we had a blast. One of the games was hilarious and you had to make yourself a reindeer with nylons and balloons. Then for Rick's white elephant gift, he decided it would be funny to wrap a rat in its plastic ball. Well funny yes, but he did not figure for what happens when it has to go to the bathroom. We were passing them around and Jeramy's girlfriend says "this one is all wet" GrOsS!!!

So we didn't live in our house when the flood came 5 years ago so we had no idea how much fun it would be when it came this time. Especially since they said that this year was even way more water. We were up in New Harmony with Rick's family for ThAnKsgIviNg this year. I did have the week before off so we were up north visiting my family for a few days. My sister Katie and her family were down from Seatle so we got to see everyone. Luckily we made it back home before that big nasty storm hit and spent ThAnksGivIng with the Prisbreys. Julian Aaron Kelly Waldron was born to his new mommy and daddy Julia and my little brother Aaron on Nov 19. Our sweet little guy was happy and healthy, but for some reason at 2 days old he stopped breathing and was unresponsive. Luckily they had not gone home yet and the Dr's and nurses were right on top of it to get him breathing again. He was transported to Primary Children's Hospital and they are running every kind of test to find out what went wrong. Hopefully mom and dad will get to take him home soon.

Rick's dog aTkiN passed away recently. He was such a good dog. Atkin was my first experience with EVER having a pet around. He used to come everywhere with us... as you can see, he was even in our engagement pictures. He was around 13 years old and lived his last few years eXtAtiCaLLy happy up in New Harmony with Rick's parents. Atkin loved to catch bees on the deck (had to be something about the sting in his mouth, but he taught Stella to do the same thing). He loved to go for rides on the gator and 4 wheelers to play with the family or just to do the farm chores. Its amazing how pets can touch our lives and our little AtkIn will be missed.

I drove up to Sterling to hang out with my girl LiSha and her little munchkins. She lives in the coolest spot. Her house sits up in the hill above Palisades State Park, this cute little lake and camping/RV area. Had a good visit on the beach while Matt watched the kids. Friday Lisha showed me around the area... Manti, Mayfield, Gunnison and all that good stuff. Such cute little towns it reminds me of my hometown, Garland. That night was the SaNpEte cOuNty derby. We had the best view ever! The main seating looks straight across at the Manti Temple.... gOrgEoUs!! Thanks for such a good little visit guys.

After a great day of shopping, my sister Sara and I wanted to take the kids up to meet the LitTLe cHocOLaTieRs. My niece Tyler is actually really into TLC/Discovery shows so she already knew exactly who they were. (This post will be better when Sara has the time to finally send me the picture of the kids with the owner) Their shop is up in the Avenues so we thought it would be fun.

Had to take my mom to BacKerS and get some delicious mini cakes. I love this place. It actually worked out perfectly because it was my mom and dad's 36th anniversary. So cute!!! When else (other than always) would you need a fabulous little cake?

I got some time off work to go visit my family up North. It was the first weekend of the DeEr hUnt and so that means Rick is M.I.A. so it was a perfect time to go play. Rick got to go take a ride in a hEliCoPteR with one of his friends. He got an awesome biRd'S-eyE view of the county. I am so jealous! Some of Rick's family got together for a 24th of July BBQ. We all went to New Harmony and had a bbq/picnic down in the field. The boys set up a game of FrIsbEy gOlf and got pretty competetive. After we got back from TahOe we got to jump in the car with Rick's parents and head to LaKe pOweLL for the weekend with some of Rick's family. It was great weather because it was hot and sunny (of course) but we had some cloud cover and some rain to cool it off a bit too and we got to see waterfalls coming down off the cliffs. I have never seen that at pOwEll before and it was awesome. I felt so bad for Rick though. He couldn't get in the water at all because of his stitches. We got pretty creative trying to float him out into the water backwards to cool him off.

Well I guess it wouldn't be a vacation/holiday if Rick didn't end up in the ER for something. Of course! I swear, Rick has now had stitches like 30 times in his life! How is that something that really happens? He is my special little guy. He was getting out of the boat and caught his toes between the metal boat cleat on the dock and tore open the webbing between his toes. OuCh!! A visit to the (freezing cold) ER, 3 1/2 hours and 6 stitches later.

The bear will stay up the tree while the dogs are around so you have to pull them off and take them away to let the bear to come back down.

Another year of BeAr hUntiNg in mOab. It was a quick trip for Rick and me, but we did get to see the final Bear of the season. I think the group ended up getting 5 or 6, but they camp for the whole month. We made it up for Memorial Weekend. It was such perfect weather!! We got back from SaN diEgO last night. We had so much fun! It was Nick's 30th birthday and they rented a party bus that picked us up in San Diego and drove us to tEmeCuLa to check out some vineyards. A good time was had by all..... of course. Rick and I got to go over to Sea World and hang out. We LOVE Sea World! I cannot sit still! I am absolutely just too excited to get out of town. Rick and I are headed to San Diego to go celebrate Nick's 30th with him. You would not believe the drama of trying to get ready to leave town. I swear there is always something working against me. Took my car in yesterday to have all the tires rotated and balanced and whatev to get it ready for the drive, and of course.... huge nail in my back tire. (how it wasn't losing air is beyond me) No one in town has that custom size in stock and shipments come in on Monday. Vegas had one for $200, but still closed before we could get there. So as all hope was nearly lost I made one last call....... this random little tire shop had one!! Literally 1!!! He even gave it to me for $120. Super excited it got taken care of.
