GARLAND- Glenn Erickson Manning, 87, passed away August 12, 2012 at his home with his family by his side. He was born on December 18, 1924 on the family farm in Garland, Utah, a son of Leroy Wilcox and Vida Erickson Manning.

Together with Thelma, he served a mission to the Chile Santiago Temple and in the local Spanish Branch. He was a loving husband and raised a faithful family. He worked hard to be successful as a farmer, loved the constitution and the Book of Mormon. He was an accomplished archer and marksman and held a private aircraft certificate.

One of the most wonderful, patient, humble, and generous men I know. My Grandpa Manning passed away earlier this month. I, and many others will miss him dearly. He was such a good man and a perfect example of what a husband and father should be.

24tH of jULy

We went to the 1st annual 24tH of JuLy celebration in New Harmony this year. One of the residents there has a huge beautiful arena and held a dinner and had games for the kids and the big "Kids". Rick and his brother (and a bunch of other guys) chased down a steer and had to rip stickers off it for a prize. Rick got pretty involved when he tackled the steer. His knee has still not healed up all the way. Steer - 1 Rick - 0

1sT bOo BoO

Our poor little monster got his 1sT bOo BoO today. So sad!! He was climbing up the leg of Rick's desk at work and his hand slipped off and he smacked his head right on the edge of the leg. That goose egg popped out so fast. I fReAkeD! We didn't even get pictures of it right off. This was that night when it had gone down a bit.

tHe biG 3..0..

What a hUgE surprise!!! Rick arranged for some of my favorite peeps to hide out in a hotel room in Vegas and wait for us to arrive. I thought that Rick and I were just going down for a little "over-nighter" (like we sometimes do) and this is what I walked into when the door opened. I love these guys! They are so good to me. And what a cute hubby for setting it all up? I had no idea and was so surprised. We had such a fun night and a little bit of a play by the pool as well. Thx everyone for helping me celebrate the biG 3...0...!
